How can I decide whether my marketing event is in fact a Prize Promotion competition?

This can be determined where the conduct of such a promotion is done either in the media (print or electronic) or in connection with a trade or business, or the sale of an article to the public. There must be an entrance fee, stake, contribution or subscription payable for a right to enter or participate. For an event to be considered a promotion; there must be some benefit to be gained by the promoter (business).
